Superior Lumber appreciates its customers

Superior Lumber in New Hampton celebrated its 10 year anniversary with a customer appreciation lunch last week.New Hampton store manager Andy Hintgen and Charles City store manager Tom Fellerer were on hand to grill and serve hot dogs.The Charles City store just recently celebrated 25 years with a location in Clear Lake as well.Changes that have come over the years to Superior Lumber is the addition of steps to the lofted area for storage.“We made it more accessible,” said Hintgen.Superior Lumber in New Hampton employs five employees plus the manager.“We value our customers,” said Hintgen, “and wanted to show that we appreciate them.”Fellerer said if not for the customers then the store wouldn’t be here in New Hampton.Long time employee Joe Glaser said he enjoys what he does.Superior Lumber offers windows and screen repair as well as offers rental of special tools such as cement saw cutters. The employees have also seen many projects and have guidance for anyone that comes in needing options or ideas.The store is open Monday through Saturday.
