A memorial motorcycle ride and service will be held in June for Raymond James Nelson, 65, Charles City, who died Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at his home.
Raymond James, son of Clifford and Racine (Pulse) Nelson, was born Dec. 18, 1955.
He attended South Winneshiek High School, and worked as a cook and truck driver for many years.
He enjoyed playing his harmonica and guitar and playing foosball and cards with friends and family.
He had a passion for music and art, loved to tell jokes and have his “beer” (A&W Root Beer) in his younger years, and he enjoyed riding motorcycles and collecting cars.
He is survived by his two children, Todd Nelson, Sumner, and Amber (Nick) Erion, Tripoli; two grandchildren, Gavin and Finn Erion; two sisters, Penny (Paul) Herold, Fort Atkinson, and Judy Johannsen, Surprise, Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Racine (Pulse) Nelson; one sister, Paula Nelson; and two brothers, Jerry and Peter Nelson.
