Violet M. Lindner age 96 of Nashua, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.
A private family Graveside Service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua.  Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory - Olson Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.  Online condolences for the Lindner family may be left at hugebackfuneralhome.com

Violet Marie Lindner was born Nov. 20, 1924, in Oelwein, IA, the daughter of George and Thelma (Troupe) Waterman. She married Merlwin F. Lindner on November 22, 1942, at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua.
Violet was a homemaker and helped with the farming operation. In later years she worked as a foster grandparent at Jefferson School in Charles City. She was a member of the VFW Auxilary, the Rebecca Circle at St. John Lutheran Chuch, and enjoyed crafts. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and camping.
Violet is survived by four sons, Edwin Lindner of Waverly, Dennis (Jane) Lindner of Waverly, Mike Lindner of Nashua, Randy Lindner of Arlington, Virginia; one daughter, Lori Redick of Thorton; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlwin in 2020; two sisters, Virginia (Ted) Winter, Eilene (Bernard) Que; three brothers, Lenard (Alice) Waterman, Orville (Laverle) Waterman, Lyle (Karen) Waterman; a daughter, Janice Travis and a daughter in infancy; four grandsons, Ryan Lindner, Kevin Quillin, Michael Lindner, Kevin Lindner, three sons-in-law, Stanley Quillin, Harvey Travis, Bob Redick and a daughter-in-law Diane Lindner.
