Turkey Valley’s Blazek gets win in outdoor opener

Lead Summary

Early last week, the weather forecast predicted rain for Friday. So North Fayette Valley moved their opening coed track meet of the season up a day.
And though it wasn’t what you’d call balmy Thursday — temps moved into the 40s during the meet — it gave Turkey Valley’s track teams a chance to compete outdoors, and that doesn’t always happen this early.
“I was just glad we could get an outdoor meet in during the month of March this year!” said coach Dalton Hackman. “We had a couple of rain drops and that was it so we stayed dry.”
Turkey Valley finished sixth of the eight teams at the meet as Crestwood and North Fayette Valley took the top spots.
