Turkey Valley lands its first softball victory

Lead Summary

It may have taken 28 games to get it done, but Turkey Valley’s girls persevered to win their first game of the season when they played at Riceville Tuesday.    The 9-8 Turkey Valley victory snapped a three-game winning streak by the Wildcats, who were 6-19 coming into the game.    Although they’ve scored more runs  in a game this season, Turkey Valley unleashed its best game of the year offensively by far, pounding out 17 hits.    Shayla Kuennen led the team, going 4-for-4 with a double and Jaedyn Winter was 3-for-4, also with a double, three RBIs and two stolen bases.
