Turkey Valley has host of activities for homecoming

Turkey Valley High School will kick off a hectic homecoming week on Sunday with a community wide celebration on the school campus in Jackson Junction.The event begins at 4 p.m. and will include concessions from Moo Mobile, face painting, staff dunk tank, bean bags, large ball volleyball, climbing wall, large inflatable obstacle courses and more and will be followed by a 6 p.m. community pep rally.Turkey Valley will crown its homecoming king during a program that begins at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in the high school gymnasium.This year’s candidates include Garrison Kruse, the son of Dan and Melissa Kruse; Wyatt Blazek, son of Don and Kim Blazek; and Walker Leibold, son of Russ and Laurie Liebold.Homecoming week will wrap up on Friday when the Trojans’ football game against AGWSR.The queen candidates and their parents — Morgan Kuennen, daughter of Carie Kuennen; Brooke Herold, daughter of Matt and Lori Herold; and Shelby Reicks — will be recognized at 6:45 p.m.The game between fourth-ranked AGWSR and the sixth-ranked Trojans kicks off at 7 p.m., and the queen will be crowned at halftime.
