Turkey Valley edges out Janesville in district final

Lead Summary

Free throw shooting down the stretch can often times be the difference in winning and losing the ball game, and it was for the Turkey Valley boys basketball team in the district final playoff game on Thursday night held at New Hampton High School.
The Trojans calmly nailed their free throws in the closing minutes of the game to seal the victory over Janesville 42-37. In the four quarters played, TV nailed 13-of-15 free throws as a team.
The Wildcats, who entered with a record of 19-4, posed a serious threat to Turkey Valley in this back-and-forth affair.
