Trojans pick up win at Border Battle after loss to MFL Friday

Lead Summary

For the first time of the 2019-2020 campaign, the Turkey Valley girls basketball team was forced to deal with adversity.
After a 6-0 start to the year, they were pounded by MFL MarMac on Friday 65-42. However, just a day later, they responded with a 19-point victory over Houston, Minnesota in the Border Battle held at Luther College.
“It was a nice bounce back from Friday’s loss. The girls came ready to face a strong, physical Houston team,” coach Carla Nymeyer said. “Our full-court press gave Houston some issues throughout the game.”
