Seniors lead way for young Chickasaw boys

Lead Summary

New Hampton boys head track coach Scott Frerichs said his team’s youth showed in their first outdoor meet of the season at the Waverly-Shell Rock Co-Ed Invite this past Thursday. The Chickasaws finished in last place of the eight teams who competed and totaled 38 points for the night.
“Our team is mostly sophomores and freshman, and it will be a challenge competing at the varsity level,” Frerichs said. “The competition was tough with some very good teams present.”
Although the team as a whole didn’t have a solid evening, there were a few seniors who placed high in individual events.
