Saturday on Main Street was a fun packed day

The weather was a concern for event coordinators on Friday but it turned out to be a beautiful day to show off classic cars Saturday at the 2016 Car Show for Rustic Hollow Shelter-A Special Needs Feline Sanctuary. There was music by Sidetract throughout the day for all to enjoy, vendors were on Main Street, face painting, food, 50/50 raffle and of course classic cars for all to enjoy.“So happy to see these cars here,” said Event Coordinator Annette Wood. She has volunteered at the shelter and was thrilled to help the cats while enjoying looking at the classic cars.“For our first show it went very well,” said Carmen Conklin owner of C&W Rustic Hollow Shelter. She was very happy with the car show and all the generous people who donated funds for the shelter.The Townhouse donated a dollar for every sandwich sold throughout the day which was over $100 while the top three winners of the car show donated their winnings back to the shelter for the cats. The winners of the car show were: 1st place – Michael Winberg with his 1928 Model A, 2nd place – Tim and Judy Knuston and 3rd place – Budda Lindsey.
