Rebounding quite nicely

Lead Summary

The final score was ugly, yet last Tuesday’s girls basketball game between New Hampton and Waverly-Shell Rock told Chickasaw coach Chad Pemble something — namely that his players have plenty of heart.
And they showed that heart on Friday as New Hampton spotted Decorah an early eight-point lead before finding its game on a way to a 49-39 victory over the Vikings.
The victory gave the Chickasaws a 3-5 overall record and 2-2 Northeast Iowa Conference mark heading into the Christmas break.
