Reaping the rewards

Lead Summary

Nashua-Plainfield’s baseball team, coming off one of its best seasons in years, reaped some awards Monday when three Huskies were named to the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association’s Class 1A all-Northeast Iowa district teams.Senior catcher Jason Fisher was named to the first team as a utility player while sophomore Mason Hyde and senior Devin Koob were both named to the second team.Although the Huskies went 13-16 this season, they had several big wins and played the team’s top-two teams — No. 1 Mason City Newman and second-ranked Don Bosco — as tough as any Class 1A team did the entire season.More on the story may be found in the July 28 Reporter.
