New Hampton/Turkey Valley senior Evan Rosonke stood in the new cafeteria last Thursday night and tried to find a smile.
He failed, and maybe that says something about one of the unquestioned leaders of the 2019-20 Chickasaws. Team means more than individual.
Earlier in the evening, Rosonke, giving up almost 25 pounds, had found a way to win a 3-1 overtime decision over Crestwood’s Treyton Burnikel to gain his 100th career victory, but in his mind, the milestone was overshadowed by the loss NH/TV suffered to its Northeast Iowa Conference rival.
