Gorman crowned New Hampton homecoming king

Ryan Gorman was crowned New Hampton's homecoming king during a festive coronation ceremony that was held Thursday night.It ended the strangest day of homecoming week as New Hampton did not have school Thursday because of flooding in the area, and the annual homecoming parade was cancelled due to the concerns about potential storms.Other king candidates included Logan Burke, Oscar Gaytan, Noah Hopp, Adam Laures.The homecoming queen will be crowned at halftime of Friday's football game between the Chickasaws and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows/CAL. Queen candidates are Mya Anderson, Kayla Gilbert, Emma Nicolaisen, Morgan Smith and Brianna White.— For more on homecoming, see the Sept. 27 Tribune
