Final home games tonight at TV field

Lead Summary

In terms of wins and losses, the Turkey Valley and Starmont records were pretty similar before the baseball teams met in a doubleheader at Starmont Monday.    And they’re still that way. Each team earned a victory as the TV boys started with a 10-7 game one win and the Stars took the nitecap, 7-3.    Cale Reicks batted in half the runs of game one, giving himself a bit of the cushion as he also was the starting pitcher. His three-run homer in the second inning gave the Trojans a 5-0 lead, and his teammates added another run in the same inning as Cody Hackman singled, sprinted for one of his three stolen bases of the game and scored on an error.
More on the story may be found in the June 30 Tribune. Seven seniors will be honored when the Trojans hold their final home game on Friday, hosting Clayton Ridge in a doubleheader before playing Monday at Riceville.
