Fantastic fourpeat!

Lead Summary

Allison Nuss used a highly technical golf term while describing the grounds at the Cresco Golf Club Monday.“They were a little squishy,” she said after finishing as the medalist in the Northeast Iowa Conference meet. “But it wasn’t as windy as a week ago when we played here and the greens played well.”New Hampton was the top team in the NEIC for the fourth straight year, winning the title by 42 strokes over Waverly-Shell Rock.“I knew we could get it done,” said Nuss, who finished with a 77. “We all knew. I’m happy with my score, but I’m more excited for the team title. Hopefully we’ll keep it going in future years, I’m planning on it anyway.”And with good reason. The 77 by Allison — which falls one stroke over the school 18-hole record, which she also owns — was the best score and Morgan Nuss was the NEIC runner-up with an 86; they’re both sophomores.
