Exceptional ending

Lead Summary

The New Hampton trapshooting team has possessed a tradition of excellence, and this excellence was displayed throughout the entire season and carried into the state meet this past weekend at Cedar Falls Gun Club.
“We had great weather, sometimes it can be hectic,” assistant trapshooting coach Gayle Poncelet said. “Things went as well as they could have. There were lots of competitors, especially from bigger schools. I’m proud of the kids.”
As a team, the Chickasaws placed just outside of the top ten by taking home eleventh of the 115 schools, as they totaled 964 points.
