Defense paves the way for TV in duo of wins

Lead Summary

Last year, the Turkey Valley boys basketball team held their opponent to under 30 points in three different games. Just one week into this season, the Trojans seemed poised to shatter that mark, as they have already achieved this twice. In the two Upper Iowa Conference games they played, TV allowed 25 and 29 points.
The first of these came in a 71-25 win over West Central on Tuesday. One of the main reasons for this blowout was in large part due to the 19 live ball turnovers the Trojans forced which created easy baskets in transition.
Turkey Valley led after one quarter of play 23-11 and added 23 more points in the second period to extend their advantage to 46-16 at the halftime break.
