Chickasaws can’t quite get over the hump in week one

Lead Summary

It wasn’t the way coach Chad Pemble envisioned the season starting, and even though the New Hampton girls basketball team is 0-3, he was pleased with how the girls played against stingy competition.
“We competed really well. We were right in the games until the end,” he said. “We learned that we can compete with good teams.”
After falling in their opening game against a solid Turkey Valley team, the Chickasaws ended the week with two more tough opponents in Northeast Iowa Conference foe Waukon as well as Jesup.
