Chickasaw girls split a pair of NEIC games

Lead Summary

A good start - a not so great finish.
The New Hampton Chickasaw girls basketball team started out well in games played against Charles City and Waukon this week.
The difference in those two league tilts was the completion of those contests.
One outcome resulted in a win, the other a loss.
Let’s start with the good news.
The Chickasaws and head coach Chad Pemble started out the week on a high note by winning their fourth game in a row in NH’s first contest back from the Christmas break with a 42-26 road victory over the Comets from Charles CIty a week ago Tuesday.
Fast forward to Friday night’s home tilt against a favored Waukon squad and it was another fine performance through the first period of play to lead the Indians, 12-8.
The conclusion to the Waukon game?
Another work in progress for the young and inexperienced Chickasaws as Waukon controlled the latter stages of the game by posting a 47-32 league victory.
