Chickasaw girls to play in regional final

For the second consecutive year, New Hampton will be in the regional volleyball finals after a Tuesday night, four-set win over Waukon.
After the Chickasaws won game one against the Indians 25-12, they lost the second set 25-21 despite a nearly-successful comeback. But they finished with 25-12 and 25-13 wins to bring their record to 35-5 for the season.
Next up for the NH girls will be Camanche, the seventh-ranked team in Class 3A, they are 28-6 on the year. The teams will meet at Cedar Rapids Washington next Monday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. for the right to go to the state tourney. More on the win over the Indians will be featured in the Oct. 26 Tribune.
