Chickasaw girls pick up pair of wins in Mason City

Lead Summary

A windy and frigid evening did not stop the New Hampton girls track team from making the trip to Mason City on Tuesday for a meet.
The Chickasaws finished fourth out of the six teams who participated in the meet that consisted of much bigger schools such as Mason City and Owatonna, Minnesota.
“We were happy to get a meet in, but with the weather, it hampered some of their performances,” New Hampton head girls track coach Jeanette Laures said. “In that type of cold, we’re looking for kids to be competitive and get some good conditioning in.”
