Chickasaw boys make first round a victorious one

Lead Summary

Although it was close, Wyatt Stochl led the way for the New Hampton golf team, as they squeezed out a 182-187 victory over Charles City. While the Chickasaws won the meet, boys head golf coach Bill Glenn and the team thought they could have performed better.
“We had okay scores. It’s early, and it’s something to build on,” Coach Glenn said. “I think probably all of our guys are capable of shooting lower than what they turned in today.”
Seniors Stochl and Ryan Anderson posted the best two scores for New Hampton. Stochl’s 43 was the best overall score, while Anderson’s 45 tied for second with Charles City’s Colton Slinger. Although he still managed a runner-up placing, Anderson didn’t play as well as he was hoping.
