Apples on the Avenue brings back family time with fun filled weekend

Lead Summary

There was something for everyone this weekend at Apples on the Avenue. Parents from all around the area came out to pick their apples while letting their children enjoy the fun activities for the weekend. This has become a family tradition for many families since they all love the relaxing weekend at the orchard. Children had the chance to go on pony rides or feed the free range chickens who were roaming around the yard.Yard games were set up for families to enjoy along with picture opportunities around every corner. Families could also enjoy wagon rides around the property. On Sunday afternoon a pop up store, LuLaRoe stopped by selling women’s and children’s fashions.Apple picking was the main event for many children and their parents, though. This is something which children at any age can do and many got excited picking the apples from the trees. When it was time to carry the apples back it was a slower walk with all the apples than when they could run out to the trees with their empty baskets.Popcorn Haven owner ReShonda Young came from Waterloo since she had such a good time last year and is looking forward to the October weekend when she will be back with her popcorn creations.Carmel corn and Butterfinger popcorn were just some of the delicious popcorn choices which she brought. For the complete story see the 9/22/2016 Nashua Reporter.
